What is CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is an organic compound found in hemp and cannabis plants. The benefits of CBD are vast throughout the body, but are mostly known for helping with symptoms commonly related to anxiety, pain, sleep, brain function, focus, mood balancing, and many other positive affects it has on the body. CBD is the second most abundant phytocannabinoid found in the hemp plants, after THC.
Depending on the product you’re taking, you may feel more relaxed. You may feel less discomfort. You might feel more ready to sleep at night. However, you will not have the effects commonly associated with THC that are described as the feeling of “getting high”.
What is CBG?
Gaining quickly in popularity, CBG (Cannabigerol) is referred to as the “Mother of Cannabinoids” which are organic, active compounds that come from hemp and cannabis plants. Similar to CBD, CBG will not get you “high” as commonly understood with THC based products. CBG’s main function is to assist as an anti-inflammatory, stress relief, and increased brain function. When combined with CBD, the effects of the two compliment each other significantly.
ARE CBD PRODUCTS LEGAL IN MY STATE?
At the federal level, hemp-derived CBD products that contain less than 0.3% THC are legal according to the Farm Bill of 2018. With 0.00% THC, all of our Madlock Farms products certainly fall under this umbrella. However, many states (and even some local jurisdictions) have created their own laws relating to hemp-derived products. Please be sure to check with your state and local jurisdiction when purchasing these products.
COULD I FAIL A DRUG TEST FROM TAKING CBD?
As long as ours are the only CBD products you’re taking you shouldn’t have any problem passing a drug test. Federal testing guidelines require companies to test for the presence of THC to one-tenth (0.0%) of one percent. (1 decimal place) That’s just not good enough for us. Instead, we went all the way to one-one hundredth (0.00%) of one percent in testing for THC (2 decimal places).
You can see the results for yourself in our Certificates of Analysis (COAs)… still no THC detectable even at this extreme level of testing. Quality and purity is as important to us as it is to you.
* But please keep in mind that most CBD products from other companies do contain detectable amounts of THC! So if this is a concern for you, be sure to use only Madlock Farms THC-Free products.
WILL CBD MAKE ME FEEL HIGH?
Most people associate the feeling of “high” with the effects they feel from taking THC. None of our products contain any form of THC. So the effects that you would associate with that, you are not going to have when taking our products.
